Ok, this thing was hanging out on our cherry tomatoes for a few days. I tried to look it up on the internet to see what kind of spider it was, but I couldn't figure it out, anyone know?
ooohhh pick me. It's an Orb spider. Think Charlotte's Web. They are also called writing spiders. We had one in Charlotte in my plants. I almost grabbed him while pruning. I think he took a few years off of my life!!!
Hey!Tracie is right about the kind of spider! We watched one of these for several weeks our first year of home schooling for Will's science. It got very fat, then laid a big egg sack and got really skinny. Eventually, at first frost, it was gone. We placed the egg sack in a small basket when we saw a bird pecking at it one day and tucked it safely away in our yard. Eventually, they hatched(we never saw it, just saw the hole.)Some of my most precious memories from that season of my life!!
